More like what you're expecting...

Here's some work that I'm working on that is more recognizable as "Caroline Photos;" so no I have not gone the abstract route permanently! Actually these were just some things I was casually working on and hanging off to the side in my studio. While people were critiquing other work they saw these and thought they were more interesting than the stuff they were actually critiquing. Enjoy and as always, feel free to comment!

Through Rain or Sleet or Dark of Night...

Yesterday I received two letters in the mail that were return to sender. Letters, well Christmas cards to be exact, I had mailed to a friend from undergrad in 2003 and 2004! The postmarks were right there with the return to sender label dated 2006. Now it's obvious I don't talk to this person often, but I always try to send out Christmas cards to keep in touch, sometimes I get a reply, sometimes I don't. I am a bit disturbed that I sent out 2 cards and didn't know she relocated. I wonder if I'll get last years Christmas card that I sent her back in a couple of years?

Feedback...

I have been working on some... very atypical art for me. I'd like to know what you all, as artists and non-artists, think about it. What do you see in them, what interests you, or perhaps what doesn't interest you. Also which are your favorites. Some of them are going in a show in Dec and I want to know which ones people respond to.

And you'll have to forgive the web site, the colors are much more vibrant and saturated in person. I guess you'll just have to come to my show at the Frank Stone Gallery, Dec 1 - 3 to see them for yourself. (There's definitely not any shameless self promotion here... no way...)
